Her Story
​
Allie grew up in sunny Southern California. She found astrophysics while attending University of California, Berkeley, and decided to attend Texas Tech University to further study the skies.
​
A current PhD student at University of Arizona, Allie's research focuses on finding globular clusters around the galaxy Centaurs A. She doesn't have much time for hobbies, but when she isn't planning the wedding she enjoys crafting, Netflix, and playing board games.
His Story
Arlo grew up in Eastern Kansas. He attended University of Kansas for his undergraduate and Texas Tech University for his graduate studies. His research focused on using radio waves to study the quiescent phase of a black hole.

Now a physics professor at Pima Community College, Arlo enjoys reading, cooking, and playing board games and video games.
Their Story
Allie & Arlo met at the welcome BBQ for new graduate students at Texas Tech University. He, a second year, sat right in front of her on the grass. They hit it off immediately, and made plans to go to weekly pub trivia together. Within a few weeks they were officially dating.

Allie & Arlo got engaged on March 11th, 2017. He made a large birthday brunch with all of her favorite foods, then surprised her with a ring.
​
After both graduating with their Masters' degrees in physics from Texas Tech University, they moved to Tucson, Arizona so that Allie could pursue her PhD. Their life together includes a lot of laughter, movies, and weekly pub trivia.
